Waterloo Region Area Highlights:

• Waterloo Region home sales decreased 18.9% month-over-month.
• The number of newly listed properties decreased by 24.5% on a month-over-month basis.
• In Kitchener-Waterloo, the MLS^® Home Price Index (HPI) was $628,300 in August 2026, a decrease of 0.8% month-over-month and a 6.0 % decline on a year-over-year basis. In Cambridge, the HPI was $666,400, a 0.7% increase month-over-month and a decline of 4.2% on a year-over-year basis.
• The supply of inventory across the market decreased by 10.3% on a year-over-year basis, and there was a 3.5-month supply of all property types by the end of August, which was 2.8% lower than in August 2025.
